Carlyle Campbell has a strong background in the banking industry, with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Carlyle is currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Credit Officer at Virginia Credit Union since August 2021. Prior to that, Carlyle held the position of Executive Vice President at TowneBank from January 2006 to August 2021. Carlyle also worked as a Vice President at SunTrust Bank from 2001 to 2006, and as a Vice President - Real Estate Finance at RBC Centura from 1997 to 2001. Carlyle began their career at Bank of America, where they served as a Vice President from 1993 to 1998.
Carlyle Campbell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, attending from 1988 to 1992. Later, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the William & Mary – Raymond A. Mason School of Business, completing their studies from 1995 to 1998.
