Larry Braja has over two decades of experience in emergency management and social work. Currently serving as a Human Services Officer at the Virginia Department of Emergency Management since April 2003, Larry coordinates the FEMA Individual Assistance Program and integrates recovery planning among various entities while addressing the unmet needs of disaster survivors through collaboration with voluntary agencies. Prior to this role, Larry worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from 1983 to 1997, providing therapy and case management services across diverse organizational settings, including family agencies and medical hospitals. Larry holds a Master of Social Work degree in Health from Virginia Commonwealth University, earned between 1981 and 1983.
