Sandra Peterson

Sandra Peterson has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Sandra most recently served as the Director of Finance at the Virginia Department of Emergency Management starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at the Virginia Department of Health, including Grants and Accounting Manager and Business Manager. From 2012 to 2014, Sandra worked as the Director of Business Operations at SRMC Professional Schools. Before that, they worked at Community Health Systems as a Project Manager. Sandra's earliest work experience was at Food Lion Inc., Distribution Center, where they worked as an Office Coordinator/Administrative Assistant for a significant period from 1983 to 1999.

Sandra Peterson attended the University of Phoenix from 2005 to 2006, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree with a focus on Accounting and Business/Management.
