John Scrivani

John Scrivani, CEM, currently serves as Acting State Coordinator at the Virginia Department of Emergency Management and Vice President at HAZTECH SYSTEMS INC. In addition, John holds the position of Director for the Office of Safety, Security & Emergency Management at the Virginia Department of Transportation, a role encompassing employee health and safety, agency security, and emergency management coordination. John's previous experience includes significant leadership roles such as Commissioner of Emergency Management for the New York City Emergency Management Department and various positions within the Virginia Department of Transportation and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management, focusing on disaster services and safety. John has also contributed as a Subject Matter Expert for the U.S. Department of Defense and led operations for debris removal during Hurricane Sandy. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior University.
