Keith Paquin

Keith Paquin is an experienced professional in the unmanned aerial systems (UAS) industry, currently serving as the UAS Section Manager at the Virginia Department of Transportation since May 2021. In this role, Keith represents VDOT on UAS matters, coordinates safe flight operations, and engages with geospatial stakeholders to uphold UAS photogrammetry and LiDAR standards. Additionally, as a FAAST Representative (Drone Pro) since June 2020, Keith provides valuable guidance to pilots regarding aviation rules and public safety. Previous positions include Program Manager for Unmanned Aerial Systems at Bowman Consulting, Operations Manager and Party Chief at Coastal Consultants, and ownership of GyrFalcon Aerial Systems, which offers UAV services for land surveying and engineering. Keith also has a background in maritime education and service, having instructed ECDIS courses and served as a Naval Officer in the U.S. Navy. Keith holds a Master's degree in International Relations and National Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Old Dominion University.
