Tabitha Crowder was named Bristol District engineer in December, 2021.
Crowder has more than 25 years of progressive engineering experience and more than 10 years working in the City of Bristol.
She is responsible for the construction, maintenance, operations maintenance, project development and business functions of more than 7,400 road miles in the Bristol District.
She has a robust portfolio of experience throughout the Commonwealth, having served as the city manager and director of public works for the city of Bristol, along with multiple positions with the city of Virginia Beach Department of Public Works.
She also has a storied career within the private sector as a project engineer and project manager for the LandMark Design Group.
Crowder has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech. She is a licensed professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
