Lee Sanderson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. They began their career in 2000 as a Senior Project Manager at Because Global Consulting Inc. From 2001 to 2002, they worked as a Counselor at The Baraka School. In 2003, Lee joined the Joint Voluntary Agency/US Refugee Resettlement Program as an Acting Field Team Leader and Caseworker. They then transitioned to CG/LA Infrastructure, Inc. in 2007, where they served as the Director of Leadership Forum Business. Lee worked at the United States Department of Defense from 2009 to 2015, holding various positions, including Investment Manager in Iraq, Program Manager in Afghanistan, and Senior Advisor/Director of Women's Economic Development Initiatives. Since 2017, Lee has been with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, initially as an International Trade Manager and currently as the Managing Director of Client Development.
Lee Sanderson, CGBP, MBA completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at the University of Cape Town from 2005 to 2006.
