Gil Muñoz has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. From 1991, they worked at the Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center and Foundation, starting as an Executive Administrative Assistant and progressing to roles such as Associate Director, Deputy Director, Executive Director, and ultimately Chief Executive Officer. Between 1990 and 1991, they worked as a Project Coordinator at POLICY ALTERNATIVES FOR CARIBBEAN AND CENTRAL AMERICA (PACCA). Prior to that, from 1987 to 1989, they were an Outreach Coordinator at CASA ALIANZA PROGRAMS DE LA CIUDAD DE GUATEMALA. Gil'searliest known work experience was at Covenant House New York, where they served as an Outreach Coordinator from 1985 to 1989.
Gil Muñoz earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Maryland in 1984. Afterward, they pursued a Masters degree in Public Administration from Lewis & Clark College, completing it in 1995.
