Jay Andrews

Vice President of Financial Policy at Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA)

Jay Andrews began their work experience as a Staff Accountant at Deloitte Haskins & Sells in 1985. Jay went on to work as an Assistant Controller at Richfield Retirement Community in 1986. From 1992-1998, they held various roles at HealthSouth, first as an Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager at HealthSouth Medical Center, then as the CFO of Rehabilitation Hospital of Virginia. In 1998, they became CFO/Assistant Administrator of Henrico Doctors Hospital-Parham at HealthSouth/HCA. From 2002-2005, Andrews was the Director of Decision Support at HCA, where they prepared and analyzed cost accounting data for strategic planning and presented managed care contract proposals. Jay then served as CEO of Advanced Orthopaedic Centers from 2005-2010 before becoming Vice President of Financial Policy at Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association in 2010. In this role, Andrews was responsible for overseeing financial policy for healthcare institutions in Virginia.

During the years of 1981 to 1985, Jay Andrews attended Virginia Tech, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
