Ashley DeSilva has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as an Analyst I at The Port of Virginia since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Dragas Center for Economic Analysis and Policy from September 2020 to May 2022. Ashley also gained experience as a Guest Advocate at Target from June 2020 to May 2022. Before that, Ashley served as a Safety Intern at STIHL from May 2019 to August 2019, where they assisted the Safety Department in various projects and received training in ISO 45001 and VPP Best Practices. Ashley also held the position of Team Leader at a Chick-fil-A-Franchise from April 2017 to July 2019. Additionally, Ashley worked as a Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) Leader at Old Dominion University from August 2017 to May 2018. In this role, they conducted regular study sessions for accounting students and developed lesson plans for each session.
Ashley DeSilva completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a concentration in Economics/Business Analytics at Old Dominion University from 2015 to 2020. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics at the same university from 2020 to 2022.
