Julie Shank

Julie Shank, Ph.D., is currently serving as the Deputy Commandant for Operations, Plans, and Training (S3) at Virginia Military Institute. Julie also works as an Instructor for Leadership and Career Development at George Mason University. Julie has a diverse background in academia and military service, with experiences ranging from Graduate Research Assistant to Pilot and Department Head in the US Navy. Julie holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration, a Master's degree in National Security and Strategic Studies, a Master's in Aerospace Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
