The Virginia National Guard is a unique dual-status force with a federal mission to provide a combat reserve for the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force to fight our nation’s wars and a state mission to provide a response force answering the call of the Governor when citizens of the commonwealth are in need. More than 9,000 personnel in the Virginia Army National Guard, Virginia Air National Guard and Virginia Defense Force as well as the state and federal civilian workforce serve in more than 50 communities across the state.

The Cyber and Information Management team at the Virginia National Guard is responsible for securing and managing digital infrastructure to ensure operational readiness. This includes tasks such as defending against cyber threats, planning and coordinating cyber operations, integrating data management systems, and providing essential information services and technical support to maintain communication and information flow across the organization.
