Leigh Wood

Leigh Wood is a dedicated healthcare professional with extensive experience in oncology nursing and patient care. Currently serving as a Cellular Therapy RN at Virginia Oncology Associates since October 2023, Leigh previously worked as the Team Coordinator-Oncology at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital from April 2022 to September 2023. During time at the VA Medical Center in Birmingham from June 2020 to April 2022, Leigh provided direct care to multiple Covid-19 and oncology patients while managing interdisciplinary care and overseeing medication administration. Prior to a career in nursing, Leigh held the position of Change Management Coordinator at Conduent from April 2010 to May 2018, focusing on implementing process improvements within line of business systems. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from Saint Louis University and additional degrees in Business Administration and Psychology from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
