Nina Balanchivadze MD FACP is a seasoned hematologist and oncologist currently serving at Virginia Oncology Associates since July 2022. Previously, Nina held several prestigious roles including member of the Trainee Council at the American Society of Hematology from June 2020 to July 2022, and completed a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Henry Ford Health System from July 2019 to July 2022. Nina's leadership experience includes serving as Chair and Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine at Grand Strand Medical Center and as internal medicine faculty from April 2015 to June 2019. In academia, Nina was an Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina from December 2015 to June 2019. Nina's medical training includes a residency at Yale New Haven Hospital and multiple medical degrees, culminating in MDs from Tbilisi State Medical University and Aieti Medical School.
