Paula Sproston

Paula Sproston is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in retirement and accounting roles. Currently serving as a Senior Retirement Analyst at the Virginia Retirement System since March 2023, Paula previously held various positions in the City of Williamsburg, Virginia, including Accountant I and Senior Utility Specialist, starting in May 2012. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Accounting Assistant for the City of Newport News from November 2011 to May 2012 and from May 2007 to March 2010. Paula Sproston earned an Associate of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University between 2018 and 2022, and completed secondary education at Phoebus High School from 1996 to 2000.
