Caryn Bishop Persinger has a diverse work experience. Caryn is currently the Director of Communications and Creative Director at Virginia State Bar since February 2018. Prior to this, they had been working at Virginia State Bar since March 1999, where they served as the Publications Manager/Webmaster. In addition to being a webmaster, they also designed and produced various publications, including Virginia Lawyer magazine. Caryn also has experience working as the Co-president and Membership Chair at AIGA Richmond from 2004 to 2005. Before that, they worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer at VEW Arts, Inc from August 1991 to March 1999.

Caryn Bishop Persinger obtained their high school diploma in the field of high school education from Tabb High School, where they studied from 1983 to 1987. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design at Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating in 1991.
