Virginia State Parks
Joshua Ellington has extensive work experience with Virginia State Parks. Joshua started their career in 1997 as a Trades Technician and gradually moved up the ranks. Joshua served as a Park Ranger from 1999 to 2001 and then assumed the position of Chief Ranger until 2004. Following that, they worked as an Assistant Park Manager for a year before becoming a Park Manager from 2005 to 2012. In 2012, Joshua Ellington took on the role of Park Manager once again until 2015. From 2015 to 2019, they served as a District Manager before being promoted to the position of Chief of Resource Management in July 2021.
Joshua Ellington attended Danville Community College from 1998 to 1999, studying Electronics. No degree was obtained during this time.

Virginia State Parks
Virginia's 41 state parks offer premier outdoor recreation opportunities throughout the Commonwealth including camping, cabin rentals, picnicking, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, biking. During the summer most parks offer swimming and snack bars. Park staff also conduct hundreds of environmental and cultural education programs in the parks for visitors.
