Nannette Williams

Nannette Williams, CPA, CFE has a diverse work experience spanning more than three decades. Nannette began their career at FIRST VIRGINIA BANK in 1987 as a Branch Operations Assistant, where they worked until 1993. Nannette then joined the Virginia Auditor of Public Accounts in 1998 as a Senior Audit Specialist, contributing to the organization for almost nine years. In 2006, Nannette transitioned to the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority, where they held various roles. Nannette started as an Internal Audit Manager in November 2006 and progressed to become the Director of Internal Audit and Information Security in May 2016. Throughout their tenure at the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority, Nannette played a pivotal role in enhancing internal audit practices and information security. Currently, they serve as the Chief Audit Executive at Virginia State University, a position they have assumed since September 2022. Nannette's vast experience and expertise make their a highly capable professional in the fields of audit, internal control, and information security.
