James Hughes

James Hughes currently serves as President of Cassell Guard, the official student section for Virginia Tech basketball, since April 2023. Additionally, James holds the position of VP of Marketing for Cassell Guard and works as a Student Manager for the Virginia Tech Softball program, where responsibilities include practice setup, equipment management, and supporting recruiting visits. James has been an Executive Assistant and Digital Marketing & Graphic Design professional at Harbor Freight Transport Corp since June 2019, ensuring effective communication and shipment logistics. Furthermore, James operates Prime Time Graphics, creating custom graphics and logos for clients. James is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management with a focus on Marketing Management at Virginia Tech, expected to graduate in May 2026.
