Carl Mitchell

Carl Mitchell currently serves as the Associate Director of VTTI Advancement at the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute and as the Associate Director of the LINK Center for Advancing Partnerships. Since June 2021, Carl has played a vital role in nurturing relationships with individual donors and industry partners while collaborating with technical experts and faculty. Prior to this, Carl held various leadership positions at Virginia Tech, including Senior Director of Major Gifts and Director of Major Gifts in the College of Engineering, where responsibilities included overseeing fundraising initiatives. Carl has also served on multiple boards, including LEAD VA and Radford City Public Schools, and was the Executive Director of One Care of Southwest Virginia. Carl earned a Master’s degree in Horticulture and a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education and Animal Science from Virginia Tech.
