Mark Mondry

Mark Mondry is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology commercialization, entrepreneurship, and educational leadership. Currently serving as the inaugural Director of the LAUNCH Center for New Ventures at Virginia Tech, Mondry focuses on fostering technology spin-outs from a robust research enterprise. Involved with the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative, Mondry contributes to advancing the cyber security ecosystem through various leadership roles. Previous positions include Professor of Practice in Entrepreneurship at Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business, and Director of the Engineering & Technology Management Program at the Colorado School of Mines. With a strong background in intellectual property and business strategy, Mondry co-founded Phase M, LLP, and established PHRONESYS LLC, while also holding leadership roles at HealtheTech and LSDI. Mondry holds a JD in Intellectual Property Law and is a PhD candidate at Virginia Tech, with additional education in business administration and management from renowned institutions.
