Mitchell Pitts

Mitchell Pitts currently serves as the Division Sports Director at the YMCA of South Hampton Roads, overseeing sports development across multiple locations since December 2021. Previously, Mitchell held the position of Regional Sports Director and Sports Director within the same organization, demonstrating a progressive career in sports management. Additionally, Mitchell is a Minority Owner of Detroit City FC, enhancing soccer development in Detroit, and an Officiant for Universal Life Church. As an Adjunct Instructor at Virginia Wesleyan University, Mitchell contributes to the academic growth of students in sports leadership and management. Experience as a Community Outreach Specialist with Norfolk Tides Baseball Club, along with roles in the Major League Development Association and various positions at YMCA, showcase a strong background in community engagement, program development, and team management. Mitchell earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Recreation Management from James Madison University.
