Brian Hicks

Brian Hicks is an experienced Information Security Analyst at Virginia Community College System since October 2019, specializing in vulnerability scanning, proactive security monitoring, and providing consultation services for information security program development. Prior to this role, Brian served as an IT Support Analyst for Chesterfield County Public Schools, where responsibilities included troubleshooting various operating systems and supporting a one-to-one Chromebook program. Brian also held the position of Desktop Support Specialist at Dinwiddie County Public Schools, managing server and networking equipment, as well as user assistance. Brian began the professional journey as a Technology Intern at Prince Edward County Public Schools, gaining exposure to networking and security projects. Brian holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from ECPI University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Information Systems and Technology from Old Dominion University.
