Abhijit Narvekar

Abhijit Narvekar currently serves as Vice President of Clinical Development at Viridian Therapeutics, Inc., a position held since August 2023. Previously, Abhijit was with Aura Biosciences from January 2019 to August 2023, achieving roles as Vice President of Clinical Development and Executive Medical Director of Clinical Development & Medical Affairs. Abhijit has notable experience at Shire as Director of Global Clinical Development (May 2016 - January 2019) and at Alcon, a Novartis company, in various capacities including Clinical Lead. Abhijit’s early career included roles at The University of Texas at Dallas as a Research Assistant and as an Assistant Lecturer in Psychiatry at NDMVPS’s Medical College & Hospital. Abhijit holds a Master’s Degree in Neuroscience from The University of Texas at Dallas, an M.B.B.S. from Seth GS Medical College, University of Mumbai, and a DPM from The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Bombay.
