Richard Belfield

Richard Belfield has extensive work experience in the waste management and energy industry. Richard is currently working as the Business Development Director at Viridor, where they are responsible for the development of waste to energy and renewable gas projects on a global scale. Prior to this, they held multiple roles at Hitachi Zosen Inova, including Head of Project Development and Senior Sales Director. Richard also worked as the Group Development Director (UK) at FCC and held various positions at Lincolnshire County Council, including Assistant Director of Development and Partnership Manager. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Project Director at Veolia and Vivendi Water.

Richard Belfield attended Nottingham Trent University from 1982 to 1986, where they pursued a BSc (Hons) degree in Civil & Structural Engineering with a focus on Environment/Water.
