Tim Rotheray is a seasoned professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Director of ESG and External Affairs at Viridor since November 2019, where responsibilities include the development and implementation of ESG strategies centered on decarbonisation and the circular economy, along with government and stakeholder relations. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Innovation and Regulations at The Association for Decentralised Energy from 2010 to 2019, where Tim led the association's overall strategy, advocacy, and management. Tim has also held various roles such as Director and Head of Policy and Communications at the Combined Heat and Power Association, focusing on the energy system and policy development. Tim's career began as a Policy Officer at the Sustainable Energy Association, specializing in microgeneration policy. Tim holds a PhD and BSc in Biological Sciences and statistical modelling from Cardiff University and completed the Transition to Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in 2013.
