Christina Athanasiou

Christina Athanasiou is a Senior Manufacturing and Process Development Scientist at ViroCell Biologics, where experience includes leading process development and technology transfer projects for both adherent and suspension manufacturing processes. Key achievements include the development of a 50 L bioreactor lentivirus process and the management of non-clinical batch deliveries. Christina also has a background as a Manufacturing Officer, operating in a Grade A environment during GMP-grade lentiviral vector production, and has contributed to the validation of processes and equipment. Prior to ViroCell, Christina worked as a Theatre and Reservations Officer at HCA Healthcare. Academic credentials include an MSci in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol and A levels in Chemistry, Biology, and History from Lady Margaret School.
