Joseph Simpkins

Joseph Simpkins has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Joseph began their career in 1994 at GlaxoSmithKline, where they held the role of Section Leader and Research Investigator II. In 2002, they became an IT Consultant at Eli Lilly and Company, where they designed and developed a high-throughput web-based analytical QC processing and publishing system. In 2004, they founded and became CIO of OpAns, LLC, an analytical chemistry CRO for mid-large pharmaceuticals. In 2008, they founded and became CEO of Virscidian, Inc., where they were responsible for overseeing the U.S. operations.

Joseph Simpkins received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from Mississippi State University between 1980 and 1985. Joseph then went on to North Carolina State University where they obtained a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and Mathematics (MSAE) between 1986 and 1991.
