Jannie de Villiers

Jannie de Villiers has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President Finance Accounting at Virta Health, an online specialty medical clinic focused on reversing type 2 diabetes. Jannie has been with Virta Health since November 2021.

Prior to joining Virta Health, Jannie worked at PwC for a significant part of their career. Jannie served as the Director - Transaction Services, with a focus on Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory. During their time at PwC, Jannie demonstrated exceptional leadership and guidance to clients, managing large, cross-functional teams and multi-million-dollar budgets. Jannie also held the role of Secondee Director with Corporate Controller and Operations Lead responsibilities, where they played a key role in managing the finance and accounting operations during the company's emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Jannie was with PwC from July 2010 to October 2021.

Before joining PwC, Jannie worked as a Manager in the audit practice at Deloitte, where they gained experience in the areas of Technology, Industrial, Marketing & Media, Communication & Education. Jannie also worked as a Senior Associate Auditor in the same practice. Prior to that, Jannie worked as an Accounting and Operations Assistant at Penquin Enterprises for five years.

Jannie's work experience also includes roles at Upington Protea Hotels and Volkswagen Germany, where they gained experience in operations assistance and hospitality.

Jannie de Villiers completed their Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax and Audit at Stellenbosch University from 2001 to 2003. Jannie further pursued a Bachelor's degree HONS Masters in Accounting and Finance, Tax and Audit from Stellenbosch University from 2004 to 2005. In 2005, they obtained the certification of Chartered Accountant (SA) from SAICA CA(SA).
