Paul McColl

Paul McColl has extensive work experience in the field of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technology. Paul began their career at GEC Transmission and Distribution Projects Ltd as a Technician Apprentice from 1983 to 1987. Paul then moved on to work at GEC ALSTOM as a Senior Publicity Officer from 1987 to 1999. At ALSTOM T&D, Paul held various roles including Communications Manager Power Electronic Systems from 1999 to 2000, Marketing Communications Manager - Systems Units from 2000 to 2001, and Communications Manager Systems Business from 2001 to 2005. After that, they joined AREVA T&D as a Brand Media Manager T&D Communications from 2005 to 2006. Paul's most recent role was at Virtalis, where they worked as a Business Development Manager - International from 2007 to 2019 and as a Solutions Sales and Systems Architect from 2019 onwards. In this role, they utilized their expertise in VR sales and systems technologies to support Virtalis' global client network and develop next-generation visualization systems. Paul has engaged with clients from various industries and discussed the implementation of VR and AR solutions as part of integrated Industry 4.0 strategies.

Paul McColl attended Tettenhall College from 1978 to 1983, before pursuing higher education at Staffordshire University from 1983 to 1988. At Staffordshire University, they obtained an HNC degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
