Shawn Bengtson

Shawn Bengtson, RQAP-GLP, serves as the Director of Quality Assurance and Quality Management Systems at the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine, University of Pittsburgh, since October 2016. Prior to this role, Shawn held positions at the University of Pittsburgh from February 2005 to September 2016 as the CPCS Quality Systems Program Manager and from 2001 to February 2005 as the Program Manager for the Center for Preclinical Studies. Shawn's earlier career includes roles at Lockheed Martin from February 1990 to September 1999 as an Experiment Support Scientist, Operations Manager, and Quality Assurance professional, as well as serving as the Laboratory Manager at BIONETICS CORP from February 1985 to September 1988. Shawn's educational background includes studies at the University of Pittsburgh from 1984 to 1986.
