Artem Akatev

Artem Akatev is a Cloud Security Engineer at Virtru since June 2020, collaborating with security and engineering teams to secure infrastructure, products, and company assets while reviewing architectural decisions to mitigate risk. Previously, Artem held roles as a DevOps Engineer 2, ensuring infrastructure compliance with CIS benchmarks and managing EKS clusters, and as a DevOps Engineer Intern, developing CI/CD pipelines and migrating server configurations. Prior experience includes working as a Software Engineer at Edduus, where video streaming infrastructure was deployed on AWS, and at Cypher Core, focusing on financial application dashboards and payment processing. Artem began a career in technology as a Student Worker at the City College of San Francisco's Financial Aid Office. Artem earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from San Francisco State University and attended City College of San Francisco.
