Kelly Heijligenberg

Kelly Heijligenberg has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. Kelly began their career as an Intercedent/Recruiter at Timing in 2014. In 2016, they became the HR-manager Netherlands at foodora, where they created the HR function from scratch and reported directly to the Managing Director. In 2018, they moved to Aroundtown Management NL as the HR-manager for Lianeo Real Estate, where they were responsible for scaling the team, in-housing all recruitment activities, and creating the HR framework. In 2020, they were appointed Head of HR NL & UK at Aroundtown SA, where they achieved various successes such as coordinating the operational merger with Lianeo Real Estate, implementing an HRIS, creating and implementing the rewards/compensation strategy, and increasing employee engagement. Currently, Kelly is the Chief People Officer and Head of People & Culture at Virtuagym, a role they have held since 2022.

Kelly Heijligenberg obtained a Bachelor of Social Work from Fontys University of Applied Sciences between 2010 and 2014, majoring in Maatschappelijk werk. Additionally, they obtained a Minor GGZ Agoog from Fontys University of Applied Sciences between 2012 and 2013, also majoring in Maatschappelijk werk. Kelly also holds certifications in BHV, Preventiemedewerker, SEU, and VIL/VCU.
