CSO at Virtual Internships

Jillian Low is the Chief Academic Officer at Virtual Internships, a position they have held since March 2020. Prior to their current role, Low served as the Director of University Partnerships at CRCC Asia from February 2018 to March 2020. In this role, Low was responsible for managing the pivot and transition from in-person programming to virtual programming in light of the Global Pandemic. Low also supported the Programming and Partnership teams to successfully deliver partnership and student support for successful outcomes in remote internships. Her work spanned business development, research, student engagement, and curriculum development.

Some of Low's key accomplishments include successfully creating new partnerships resulting in significant growth in participation numbers as well as a rise in faculty-led programming to include Olympics 2020 custom programs and internships. Low also managed a portfolio of 50+ universities sending over 1300 students on international internships globally. In addition, they presented at NAFSA, GIC, CEIA, and other global conferences on topics such as unpacking employability and skills gains, international student support in study abroad, and international internship best practices.

In 2020, Low supported the Partnerships team in creating new partnerships to support over 1400 students in a remote employability program. Jillian also developed program interventions for increased intern support to include formatting weekly feedback loops between student and supervisor. Low embraced a time of uncertainty during COVID-19 to provide leadership and skills-building across our global team.

Jillian Low completed their Master of Arts in Educational Planning, Economics and International Development at IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society. Before that, they completed their BBA in International Business and Marketing at Temple University.

They work with Nadim Naccache - In-House Legal Counsel, Dominic Palazzolo - Global Head of Partnership Development, and Jason Kan - COO. Some individuals on their team include Thu Truong - Admissions Associate, Ngan Cao - Admissions Associate, and Sophie Flynn - Academic Project Manager. Jillian Low reports to Daniel Nivern, Co-Founder & CEO.
