Emre Karatas

Emre Karatas is a Partner at Virtue since February 2022, focusing on early-stage investments in healthcare. Prior to this role, Emre worked as an Investor at DigiTx Partners from January 2019 to February 2022 and served as a Senior Analyst at Health Advances from September 2016 to January 2019, specializing in digital health and Health IT. Emre began a career in research as a Research Associate in Dr. Wade Berrettini's Lab at the University of Pennsylvania from January 2013 to May 2016, assessing gene relationships influenced by novel LINE-1 variations. Earlier experiences include a summer research internship in Microbiology and Immunology at Drexel University College of Medicine in 2011. Emre holds a Bachelor of Arts in Neurobiology and Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania, earned in 2016.
