Brett Halvorson, CFA

Brett Halvorson, CFA, has extensive work experience in various roles within the finance industry. Brett'smost recent position was as the Chief Financial Officer at Virtuo starting in March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at True North Cannabis Corp from May 2018 to March 2023, serving as the President & CFO and later as the Chief Financial Officer. At True North Cannabis, Brett was responsible for facilitating the production and sale of hemp-based CBD products.

Before joining True North Cannabis, Brett worked as the Financial Controller, Ag Specialties at Nutrien from November 2016 to May 2018.

Brett also worked for Agrium from November 2012 to November 2016, holding various analyst roles in areas such as global strategy, industrial and national accounts, integrated business planning, and corporate development & strategy.

Earlier in their career, Brett worked as a Financial Analyst at Ballyliffin Capital from September 2011 to November 2012 and as an Investor Relations professional at Halcorp Capital from March 2011 to August 2011.

Brett started their career at MD Physician Services as a Sales Associate from November 2009 to March 2011. Overall, Brett has gained substantial experience in financial management, strategic analysis, and business development throughout their career.
