Otakar Nieder

Otakar Nieder is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in the gaming industry. Currently serving as Studio Technical Director at Virtuos since September 2023, Otakar previously held the position of Chief Technology Officer at GRIP Studios from August 2021 to June 2023. A significant tenure at Bohemia Interactive Simulations lasted over a decade, where Otakar advanced from Senior Programmer specializing in AI and multiplayer systems to Director of Engineering, overseeing global teams focused on core VBS functionality. Earlier roles included project leadership at Black Element Software and programming positions at ALTAR Games and ALTAR Interactive. Otakar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics from Masaryk University Brno.
