Lu Yu Cfa

Lu Yu, CFA, CIPM has a comprehensive work experience in the financial industry. Currently, Lu Yu holds the position of Managing Director and Lead Portfolio Manager at Virtus Investment Partners since 2022. Prior to that, Lu Yu spent a significant part of their career at Allianz Global Investors from 2003 to 2022, where they served as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager. In this role, Lu Yu led the Systematic Equities team with a focus on Global Emerging Markets and Global Small Cap. They were responsible for conducting research on behavioral finance-based quantitative alpha models, as well as developing machine learning and AI-NLP indicators for investments. Furthermore, Lu Yu led research efforts in AI-ESG model development and product design for ESG strategies. Additionally, Lu Yu served as the Past President of CFA Society San Diego from 2013 to 2015.

Lu Yu, CFA, CIPM, earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Real Estate Development from Nanjing University. Following this, Lu Yu completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Real Estate Management from the National University of Singapore. Later on, Lu Yu pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Mathematical Finance from the University of Southern California.
