Baris Akkaya

Baris Akkaya has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Baris started their career at Invesco Aim in 2000, where they served as a Senior Rep-Retirement Plans. In this role, they led projects, analyzed financial statements, and ensured the integrity of customer account data. Baris then moved on to BNY Mellon in 2005, where they held multiple roles including Vice President-Client Business and Development and Client Service Manager-Global Corporate Trust/Treasury Svcs. At BNY Mellon, they focused on client satisfaction, incorporated client business strategies into account plans, and prepared reports on structured finance portfolios. In 2015, Baris joined Wells Fargo as a Relationship Manager, where they were responsible for managing client relationships. Most recently, they joined Virtus Partners in 2020 as the Director of Business Development.

Baris Akkaya completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from The University of Texas at Austin, from 1995 to 2000. Prior to that, they attended Westbury Sr High School from 1991 to 1995. Later, they pursued an MBA in Management/International Business from the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business from 2004 to 2007.
