VirTus Respiratory Research is a unique CRO, led by world-class experts in respiratory, which specialises in human challenge clinical trials and laboratory services to support preclinical development. Virtus' mission is to bring breakthrough treatments to respiratory patients faster. Founded by Professor Sebastian Johnston and Dr Michael Edwards, the team have over 25 years of experience in viral challenge studies, including rhinovirus (RV) and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) human challenge studies. Areas of specialism include asthma, COPD, respiratory allergies, chronic cough and respiratory virus infections (vaccines & antivirals).
