Evgeny Lyandres

Evgeny Lyandres has an extensive work experience in the field of finance and academia. Evgeny is currently working as a Professor of Finance and the Head of the Blockchain Research Institute at Tel Aviv University. In addition, they have founded VirtuSwap and serves as its Founder. Evgeny is also an Editor at the Journal of Corporate Finance. Evgeny has held various visiting professor positions at renowned institutions such as The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Monash University, Sun Yat-sen University, and The University of Hong Kong. Furthermore, they are serving as the Academic Director for the Web 3.0 program at the Schaffhausen Institute of Technology and is a member of the Advisory Board at Kima. Evgeny will join Syndika as a Syndicate member in 2023.

Evgeny Lyandres holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Finance from the University of Rochester, which was obtained from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Applied Economics from the University of Rochester between 1999 and 2002. Earlier in their educational journey, they earned another Master's degree in Finance from Tel Aviv University, attending from 1997 to 1999. Their undergraduate education was completed at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from 1993 to 1996. Lyandres finished their secondary education by obtaining a High School Diploma from Lehandasaim in 1993.
