Alwyn Francis began their work experience in 1985 as a Wang VS 100 / IBM System 3 / HP UX Developer at Everest Double Glazing, where they focused on developing and maintaining integrated manufacturing applications. From 1987 to 1988, they worked as a Systems Analyst / Developer at Confederation Life. In 1988, they served as a Consultant / Team Manager at SEMA Group.
In 1989, Alwyn joined Pacific Associates as a Business Development Manager, where they worked with various partners such as IBM, Systems Software Associates, Cognos, and Synon. Alwyn also served as an Application & Systems Architect, working on Mortgage Business Systems and Salvation Army Legacy donation system.
In 1994, Alwyn joined Synon as part of the sales team, where they played a crucial role in achieving quarterly and annual sales targets. Alwyn also took on additional responsibilities, including development of pre-sales scripts and liaising with R&D and Marketing on product issues and opportunities.
Alwyn then worked at Pacific System International from 1995 to 1999, serving as Vice President and NA Chief Operating Officer. Following that, they joined Catalyst Solutions LLC, which later merged with Pacific Systems International, where they held the position of NA Chief Operating Officer.
In 2000, Alwyn joined Nexgen Software Technologies, Inc. as Vice President of Professional Services, a role they held until 2008. Finally, in 2008, they became the President & CEO of Virtutem.
Alwyn Francis attended Bilborough College from 1979 to 1982. Then, from 1982 to 1985, they attended the University of Greenwich, where they studied Computer Studies.
