Stefán Már Melstað has a varied work experience. Stefán Már started as a Customer Service Advisor at Kaupthing Bank in 2009 and later worked as a Store Manager at BT - Betri Timar from 2012 to 2013. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at Ormsson ehf, where their role included Sales, Purchase Management, and Bang & Olufsen. In 2014, they briefly worked as a Customer Service Advisor at Arion Bank. Stefán Már joined Advania Ísland in 2017 and held the positions of Salesforce Consultant - Software Specialist from 2017 to 2018 and Manager - Processes and AI from 2018 to 2023. Since 2023, they have been working as the Head of CRM at VÍS Insurance Ltd (Vátryggingafélag Íslands).
Stefán Már Melstað holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Informatics with a specialization in Information Systems, which they obtained from Linnaeus University in 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science at Reykjavik University from 2013 to 2017. During their studies, Stefán Már also participated in an exchange program at Lund University in 2015 and 2016, where they studied Business Administration and Computer Science. In addition to their academic achievements, they have obtained several certifications from Salesforce, including the Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder Certification, Salesforce Certified Field Service Lightning Consultant, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Certified Administrator, and My Trailhead Badges.
