Bassit Abbas

Bassat Abbas is a policy and government relations leader with over 8 years of experience shaping digital policies across diverse regions, including the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia. Currently serving as the Head of Government Relations at PayPal, they have previously held roles at Visa, Control Risks, and Euromonitor International, where they engaged with international organizations and stakeholders to advance strategic partnerships and influence technology policy. Bassat also interned with the UK Government's Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, focusing on international nuclear policy. They earned a Master of Science in Security Studies from UCL.
