Brian Sullivan has over two decades of experience in the payment and security sectors, currently serving as an Expert in Mobile Payments at Visa Europe since May 2005. In this role, Brian plays a key part in strategic mobile payment initiatives, including contributions to Apple/Android Pay and HCE-based products, and is deeply involved in the development of Visa Europe's mobile NFC products. Prior experience includes working as a Product Manager for Host Security Modules at Thales e-Security, focusing on payment HSM and industry security developments, and serving as an IT Security Consultant at Gemplus, providing expertise in chip card and security consultancy. Earlier roles also include work as an Executive at APACS where responsibilities included the technical feasibility studies for the introduction of Chip & PIN in the UK, and as part of Interlink, specializing in card personalization and processing systems. Brian holds a Master’s Degree in Parallel Computer Systems from the University of the West of England and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Swansea University.
