Catalin Cretu

Catalin Cretu is a seasoned business leader with over 20 years of experience in the financial services and electronic payments industry, currently serving as the General Manager for Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, and Slovenia at Visa Europe. They oversee the development and implementation of market strategies, managing a diverse team to deliver innovative solutions in areas such as contactless payments and government services. Catalin previously held positions at Visa Europe, where they managed strategic operations in Romania and Croatia, and at HSBC Bank USA, where they focused on environmental reporting and project management. They hold a PhD in Political Science with a focus on International Affairs from New York University, along with an M.A. from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
