Lillian Thyssen is currently the Director of Government Engagement for Central America & Caribbean at Visa, a position they have held since 2022. Previously, Lillian served as an Operations Officer and other roles at the International Finance Corporation from 2021 to 2022, and as a Credit and Market Risk Manager at the Fundacion Dominicana de Desarrollo from 2010 to 2011. They began their career as a Risk Analyst at ACCION USA from 2008 to 2009 and later worked as a Project Manager at Karp Resources from 2009 to 2010. Lillian also gained hands-on experience as a U.S. Student Fellow with the Fulbright Program, conducting research on cocoa farmer cooperatives in the Dominican Republic. They obtained a BA in International Relations and Spanish from Pomona College and an MBA from Barna Business School / University of Barcelona.
