Mert Koşan

Mert Koşan is a Staff Machine Learning Scientist at Visa Inc., where they build algorithms for fraud detection, real payment systems, and generative AI solutions. Mert received their Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a focus on graph machine learning models, explainability, and anomaly detection. During their time at UCSB, they served as a Research Assistant, working on various projects that explored graph neural networks and contributed to significant advancements in the field. Mert also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Sabanci University and ranked first in their high school class.
