Walter Kolligs

Walter Kolligs is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in international taxation. Currently serving as Vice President - International Tax at Visa since January 2008, Walter is responsible for all tax aspects of Visa’s international operations, overseeing revenues exceeding $9 billion across 69 countries. Previously, Walter held the position of Executive Director - International Tax at EY, where advice was provided to over 130 clients on cross-border tax planning involving more than 35 countries. Prior roles include tax associate positions at Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP and Thelen Marrin Johnson & Bridges, as well as earlier experience as an internal auditor at Colgate-Palmolive and a certified public accountant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Walter holds a JD, cum laude from Cornell Law School, a Master of Science in Accounting from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from William & Mary, supplemented by a study abroad program in Germany.
