William Ready

Bill Ready has been the Chief Executive Officer of Pinterest, Inc., a visual search and discovery platform, since June 2022. Before assuming his current role, he served Alphabet Inc., a technology company, from January 2020 until June 2022, as President of Commerce, Payments & Next Billion Users. Prior to Alphabet Inc., Mr. Ready was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of PayPal Holdings, Inc., an internet-based payment system company, from October 2016 through July 2019 and continued as Executive Vice President through December 2019. Prior to that, he served PayPal as Senior Vice President, Global Head, Product & Engineering from July 2015 to September 2016 and he continued to lead Braintree and Venmo operations while in various roles at PayPal following PayPal's acquisition of Braintree (parent company of Venmo) in December 2013. From August 2011 to December 2013, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Braintree, a mobile and web payment systems company. Mr. Ready serves on the boards of directors of Pinterest, Inc. and Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Mr. Ready earned his Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Finance from the University of Louisville and his Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
